I DON’T WANNA WAIT!

GREAT NEWS - Boris just announced a roadmap out of this lockdown, and if all goes well, it looks like come June 21st we can go ahead with weddings with no limits on numbers and no social distancing measures needed - yaaasss! 

With this comes a mix of emotions. Disappointment for the couples who missed the boat and have to rearrange again. Excitement for those booked in, and feeling safer and more secure that their wedding can finally happen.

But what about the couples who have been holding off planning their weddings until they knew where we stand with events? With a sudden rush and influx of bookings, lots of venues are quickly filling up, becoming fully booked for 2021/22, leaving couples worried about when they might be able to have their big day, or concerned they have to wait until 2023!

Now is the perfect time to consider a celebrant led wedding. Why should you have to wait until a date comes free at a licensed venue, when you could find a space that is perfect for you that doesn’t necessarily normally do weddings, or are looked over because they aren’t licensed. 

With a celebrant led wedding, you can have your day anywhere. On a beach? In a forest? Industrial warehouse…. Your favourite restaurant...a cinema or theatre...a quirky random venue in the middle of nowhere? Your parents’ back garden. The possibilities are endless, and it opens up SO MANY MORE opportunities for you. So forget about getting on the two year waiting list for a typical wedding venue. Think outside the box, and get married when YOU want to, not when is dictated by availability. 

Getting married in an unlicensed venue, or somewhere outdoors simply means you have to do your legal marriage admin on another day, by popping to a registry office to sort the legal side. It doesn’t take long, and should in no way detract from your actual wedding day - which will be a party from start to finish. When you have a baby, you have to register their birth after they have been born. But that isn’t their ‘birthday’ or the day you celebrate - it’s a simple legal admin. Same same!
